Briggs Auto October Best Pet Costume Contest
You might still have time to plan your own Halloween costume, but for your pets, time is running out! In just two days we are inviting your pets (and you of course) here in the Manhattan area to our Briggs Auto October Best Pet Costume Contest.
On October 23rd we are inviting you to dress up your pets and trick-or-treaters and come on over for a day of fun, food, and giveaways. There will be a bouncy house, candy, hot dogs, Pepsi, and…hundreds of dollars to give away! Sounds like a pretty sweet treat, and the only trick is getting your dog to sit still as you stuff, er, dress them up in their costume.
The actual contest will be taking place from 6 to 8pm on this Thursday, October 23rd while voting will begin on Friday, October 24th and continue until the 30th. All of the dog-gone lovely pictures of your pets will be posted on our Facebook page where the voting (Facebook “likes”) will begin.
If you’re already getting excited for this tail-wagging good time, here’s where things get pawsitively exciting. Okay, enough with the dog puns because they’re just getting ruff, let’s get serious and talk prizes:
1st place= $300 2nd place= $200 3rd place= $100
For our 2014 Trick-or-Treat and Best Pet Costume Contest we will be partnering with Friends of Animal, a volunteer-based, non-profit organization in Junction City that helps animals find loving homes. A few of the volunteers also will be bringing along some of the dogs that are up for adoption to make some friends and hopefully find a new family.
All pets that are adopted at the event will be given a care package put together with the items that Briggs employees have donated. Additionally, every vehicle that is sold on October 23rd and 24th, Briggs will donate $25 to the shelter.
Remember, the contest is this Thursday, but voting will continue through the 30th. We’re excited to see all of you and your pets this week so bring your friends, family members, trick-or-treaters, and pets to Briggs!
